Colour measurement of baking ingredients
Baking ingredients such as starch, baking powder, flour or semolina, as well as ready-made baking mixes, are subject to high quality standards. They form the basis of many types of pasta and manufacturers and processors must guarantee controlled quality. Visual comparison with the human eye does not meet this requirement. The end consumer also places high demands on the food product used for baking and cooking.
Instrumental measurement with highly developed spectrophotometers, on the other hand, is easy to use both in the laboratory and in production and provides the exact control required for quality management. Powder samples are usually placed in cuvettes on the colorimeter and the measurement results are available within a few seconds. Integrated colorimetric software supports the evaluation and further processing of the measurement data.
Our solutions for your baking ingredients:
Agera
Colour measurement “as the eye sees”
-
0°/45° geometry
This geometry according to DIN corresponds very precisely to the colour impression that the human eye has of the sample. -
Integrated camera
The integrated camera helps to place the sample precisely and to save a photo with the measurement data. -
Integrated QC software
The EasyMatch QC Essentials quality control software is integrated into the device and provides all the required colour indices and metrics.
-
Full spectrum + UV
With an illumination range of 360-700 nm, the Agera is also suitable for measuring optically brightened samples. -
Smart user interface
Your measurement results can be easily transferred to existing LIMS or SPC systems.
-
Uncomplicated & precise
Simple "one touch" measurement reduces training time, optimizes the workflow and increases your productivity.
ColorFlex EZ
Compact colorimetric station
-
Many measuring openings
Various measuring openings (10 mm, 13 mm, 19 mm, 25.4 mm, 31.8 mm) for many types of samples. -
Compact dimensions
With a weight of 4.5 kg and dimensions of 16.0 cm (height), 13.0 cm (width) and 36.0 cm (depth), the CFEZ is the ideal partner in the laboratory and production. -
Integrated QC software
Display of absolute and differential data, colour location visualization, spectral curves, spectral data and PASS/FAIL with individual tolerances.
-
45°/0° geometry
The CFEZ measures colour as the human eye sees it. Every day. Reliable and precise. -
In many versions
The ColorFlex EZ is available in Tomato, Citrus and Coffee versions. -
Uncomplicated & precise
Simple measurement at the touch of a button with measurement results within a few seconds. Reduces training time, optimizes the workflow and increases your productivity.
Application example:
Powdered baking ingredients such as flour, semolina, baking powder or starch, as well as ready-made baking mixes, can be precisely colorimetrically determined using a spectrophotometer such as the ColorFlex EZ. In this way, manufacturers guarantee a consistent appearance and create trust in the product. Powders consist of tiny particles. To ensure uniform colour measurement, a uniform surface should be created. For this purpose, a generous amount of powder is added to a 64 mm round glass cuvette. Sufficient coating thickness minimizes the effects of incident ambient light and guarantees precise measurements. (A layer thickness of 50 mm also makes translucent powder effectively opaque for...
